Since 1982, the Fresne family has been cultivating its vines using sustainable methods. Gérard, Bernadette and Bruno are harvesters and handlers of nearly 8.5 hectares of vines, on which the three emblematic grape varieties of the Montagne de Reims flourish: meunier, pinot noir and chardonnay. For the tasting, you'll be welcomed in the house cellars. A range of 7 wines and a ratafia are on offer. Special mention goes to the Cuvée du Monastère. Made from old vines and aged for a year in oak barrels, 900 copies are produced.

Today, this beautiful estate is run by Christian, who wishes above all to preserve its family character. Certified HVE (Haute valeur environnementale) and VDC (Viticulture durable en champagne), the vineyard located in Sermiers (Premier Cru) receives no harmful products that could alter the character of the vines. The various cuvées are sold directly from the estate and are also available from selected wine merchants and renowned restaurants. The range of wines is rich and extensive. Worth a try!

Today, it is the fifth generation, and the great-grandson, Mathias, who is in charge of the estate with his wife. More than six hectares are planted, mainly in first growth, for an annual production of about 30 000 bottles. The vineyard is managed in sustainable viticulture. In the range, we find the Cuvée Brut Grande Réserve which testifies to their know-how. A wine with a powerful nose of honey and hazelnut, with a light mineral touch that can be enjoyed as an aperitif or at the table with a nice fish in sauce.

In the heart of the Montagne de Reims and spread out over several communes, we find the vineyard of Christian Patis, a winemaker who has always worked the vine with love, and who perpetuates the traditional know-how of the region. Produced on the property, a nice range of wines is offered, like the Grande Réserve Brut, a racy and fruity wine. The Brut Rosé as well as the Brut Millésimé are signature wines which it would be a shame to miss. We especially like the BDB, a wine of character with ripe fruit aromas. A marvel!

Both born in families with strong viticultural traditions, Marie and Mathias, the current owners, are both trained oenologists and travelers at heart. Located in Sermiers, a village classified as Premier Cru, the Domaine, which has existed for 4 generations, has a vineyard of 6.5 hectares worked in sustainable viticulture in order to respect the richness of the earth.
