With a production of 6.5 million bottles per year and an estate of almost 288 hectares, the Taittinger house is one of the most prestigious Champagne houses. The visit takes you to the basement of the 13th century Gothic abbey of Sainte-Nicaise, a labyrinthine network of ancient chalk pits dating back to the Gallo-Roman era and containing a real treasure: an impressive collection of bottles 18 m underground. The visit ends with a tailor-made tasting session that will help you discover the story behind each wine.

Visite guidée très intéressante, autant pour les novices que les amateurs. Elle porte sur l'histoire de la Maison ainsi que sur les différentes étapes de l'élaboration du Champagne. Le tout est suivi d'une dégustation. Personnel très accueillant et sympathique. Toutefois, cette prestation demeure un peu chère.
