The visit takes you to the basement of the 13th century Gothic abbey of Sainte-Nicaise, a labyrinthine network of ancient chalk pits dating back to the Gallo-Roman era and containing a real treasure: an impressive collection of bottles 18 m underground. The Maison Fossier opened its doors in 1756 as a small artisanal biscuit factory. In 1775, its biscuits were present at the Coronation of Louis XVI in Reims, and the biscuit factory became the King's supplier. The history of this brand begins in Épernay in 1891. A certain Auguste-Eugène created the house and his grandson acquired a vineyard. The estate, today managed by Philippe Montaudon and his son Philippe, represents 45 hectares. A few steps from the cathedral, you can discover the large cellar and the cooperage workshop where the vat room is located today. The cellars extend over two floors and the vaults are carved out of the chalk! Try the Cuvée "Classe M", an exceptional wine that will make you live great moments!

This house was founded in 1869 and is now run by the Rapeneau family. The vineyard covers nearly 170 hectares planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The G.H. Martel champagne house is located a few steps from the Saint-Rémi basilica. You can visit the beautiful medieval cellars, chalk pits dug between the 4th and 15th centuries that go down to a depth of 22 meters. They are decorated with tools from the Champagne region that were used in the past to work the vines and make wine. The visit of the cellars is followed by a nice tasting.
