Le 7 mai 1945, eu lieu ici, dans la salle des cartes, la reddition sans condition de l'Allemagne. Projection d'un film au rez de chaussée et exposition permanente à l'étage. (Nombreuses vitrines avec dioramas). Une visite éducative que j'ai beaucoup appréciée. Le musée étant désormais fermé pour rénovation, j'y reviendrai avec plaisir en 2026 pour sa réouverture. Parking facile dans la rue (payant en semaine).

Lieu empreint d’Histoire et qui a marqué cette dernière.
Reims est trop souvent oubliée dans le rôle qu’elle a joué dans la fin de la seconde guerre mondiale.
Le musée reconstitue parfaitement ce jour du 7 mai 1945 et rentrer la salle où les belligérants se sont réunis pour signer la fin de la guerre ne laisse pas indifférent

Fantastic little museum. €5.50 well spent to understand the historical significance of this city 80 years ago. Excellent 5 min film in English to set the scene. Walked through a number of small rooms of photos, documents and period uniforms before reaching the room in which the surrender was signed. Very moving, left as it was with maps and weather reports and daily operation plans on the walls.

Interesting small museum with the actual room where the surrender was signed. Unfortunately it is going to be closed for renovation from the evening of 11th May 2025 for up to a year.

A must-visit in Reims. A well-preserved moment of history. Allow 45-60 minutes. It begins with a very informative film which provides to background about how the signing occurred in Reims. The room in which the unconditional surrender was signed looks exactly like the photographs from May 7, 1945.

You will be impressed by how small the space is, as well as how little pretense there was surrounding the event.

We visited 2 days before the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. It was a Monday, and the high school next door was in session. Teenagers were everywhere outside, but don't let that fool you. Very few people were in the museum the day we went, and most were an elementary school class on a field trip, and they were incredibly quiet and attentive.

Beau petit musée, lieu important et intéressant. Une préservation des lieux et objets inouïe car tout est resté à l'identique. Visité le samedi avant le 8 mai et aucune attente à l'entrée. Prix plus que raisonnable. Quelques beaux petits souvenirs en vente à la réception. On peut y voir un film intéressant et instructif d'une dizaine de minutes qui retrace l'histoire de la fin de la guerre. Cela vaut vraiment la peine de venir visiter ce musée. La visite se fait vite, environ une heure. Facilement accessible depuis la gare de Reims.

Man verlässt den Bahnhof von Reims, folgt einem Wegweiser, und steht vor … einer roten Backstein-Schule. Ein Schild sagt kühn, hier habe Deutschland am 7. Mai 1945 um 2 Uhr 41 kapituliert. Drinnen Vitrinen, die überquellen mit Uniformknöpfen und Feldtelefonen; ein vergilbtes Marshal-Foch-Porträt guckt streng und und geduldig.

Fantastic museum with so much history right there. There is a 15 minute video that you watch beforehand and typically I’m not a fan of those but it was well produced and truly enhanced your knowledge as you go through the museum. The artifacts collected and newspaper articles were well preserved. Being able to enter the room where the capitulation of Germany was signed (with actual pictures) was surreal. We spent about 45-60 minutes here. Well worth the visit.

Passage obligé sur Reims , ce petit musée implanté dans le lieu même de la signature de l armistice et ayant conservé la disposition de la salle nous plonge 80 ans en arrière.... Visite rapide de 30 minutes ...a faire dans la journée avec d'autres visites sur Reims.

A wonderful and humbling experience at the Musee de la Reddition. We explored the museum that features the War Room where Germany signed the act to unconditionally surrender and end WW2.

We spent 90 minutes at the museum (which was sufficient) on our way to the Gare de Reims.

We have visited museum on the May, 5th , 2024 cause this part of history is very interesting for us. We are a family with a 12 year old Russian speaking child. Upon arrival we were told that it is possible to watch a documental movie in Russian after the English version is over, then the personal apologised and said that the next movie will be in French. We were patient and agreed to wait, but the next session was in English again. The staff just ignored us. We were disappointed: we couldn’t give our child an opportunity to know more about the WW2. I can’t but mention that it was promised by the staff, not that we insisted.

Amazing! To see the table were they signed the surrender was special. The entrance that day was for free and the staff was very friendly.
