Winegrowers for 12 generations, Jean-Pierre and Christine Lacourte have taken over the reins of the winery where all the stages of champagne production are carried out. Thanks to their heritage and family know-how, they take particular care in the elaboration of their wines. At their place, the stirring is still done by hand on desks, a guarantee of quality and naturalness. Their range is composed of 9 champagnes: brut, demi-sec, rosé and the cuvée Pierre et Henri, a 100% chardonnay, a tribute to the founders of the house.

In Ecueil, we discover with pleasure the superb vineyards of the House. Élodie, the mistress of the place, and her husband Fabrice perpetuate with good humor the know-how of this house with feminine energy. Their nine hectares of vines produce very fine wines, whose robust, round and complex style, typical of the region and its star, the pinot noir, is a perfect match for red meats. The couple has also opened a champagne bar and superb guest rooms.

After starting the business under the name Champagne Brochet Hervieux, Vincent, the current owner, bought Domaine Les Croix in 2010 and decided to sign the bottles with his name. In Écueil, on south-east facing slopes, Vincent works his vineyard with a strong dominant of pinot noir, in the purest respect of the environment. His son Gaspard is in charge of the soil work. We are particularly fond of their Brut Nature 2005 and their carefully decorated eponymous gîte.

Located in Écueil, Nicolas Maillart owns an exceptional vineyard classified as Premier and Grand Cru. In this deep-rooted family, the vines have been worked since 1753. Very committed to the preservation of the environment, Nicolas has installed photovoltaic panels to self-manage his energy production. 6 vintages, a ratafia and a fine de Marne are to be discovered. We especially like "Les Francs de Pied", a rare and sumptuous plot of land!

Since 1973, Séverine and Jean-Marie have passionately continued the family story. Simplicity and excellence are the key words that guide them every day. The 4 hectares of vineyards of the house are scattered around the village of Écueil, on the Petite Montagne de Reims. Depending on their combination, the grape varieties will inspire festivity, sweetness or passion with their fruity, intense and delicate aromas. We especially like the Brut Améthyste (40% chardonnay, 60% pinot noir) aged in our cellars for 5 years. An exhilarating champagne!

Here's a Maison just the way we like it! Imagine winegrowers in tune with their terroir, an 8.2-hectare vineyard planted on clay-limestone and sandy soil, a massive reduction in herbicides and lots of blocked malolactic fermentation to preserve maximum freshness... A huge favorite is the Brut Nature cuvée blended with 50% pinot noir and 50% chardonnay, which proves magical on a platter of sushi or a delicately-fleshed white fish.
