One no longer comes to the old post office in the village of Avize to pick up one's mail but to taste delicious specialties. A cozy and warm setting in which you can enjoy champagnes from local producers by the glass, accompanied by a nice plate of mature cheeses and local charcuterie. This atypical post office is even open on Sundays, for a champagne brunch where you can taste the delicious artisanal jams of the Forêt d'Orient. One thing is sure, we warmly recommend it!

Om 17u rijden we terug: los bordje voorgezet met 'ouvert á 18h' - oei pech, maar we drinken ergens anders in Avize een glas en keren terug om 18u. De verlichting binnen is aan nu. Om 18u05, doet iemand (geheimzinnig wel) de deur uit het slot op een kier, maar de grote deur zwaait niét open. Er staat nog een gezin samen met ons te wachten en we begrijpen het helemaal niet.
Uiteindelijk ga ik naar binnen en lakoniek zegt de mevrouw 'om 19u gaat de keuken open, want we hebben geen brood'. Echt schandelijk om mensen zo lang aan het lijntje te houden!!
