Restaurant in Saint-Astier serving a seasonal menu, from the market and the chef's inspirations, a refined cuisine.
Valérie and David Sauteur have proved their worth in this restaurant, which attracts customers from far beyond the commune. A warm welcome and gastronomy are their credo, and they prove it every day. The menu varies with the seasons, the market and the chef's inspiration. Everything is homemade. David's cuisine is refined and his dishes are always beautifully presented. His specialties include home-cooked foie gras and risotto with old-fashioned mustard. Sturgeon in a creamy chanterelle sauce, or duck breast in a porcini mushroom sauce. For dessert, the pear crisp or pistachio crème brûlée is a real treat. The interior, with its stone walls and exposed beams, is pleasantly decorated, and an air-conditioned veranda and terrace facing the church make for a quiet dining experience, even though we're only a stone's throw from the town center.
