This beautiful th-century chateau, renovated by a Dutch, Jan Van Grisven, is situated in a beautiful setting, in the middle of the Bergerac vineyards and a nine-hole golf course. It offers rooms and a large apartment with modern comforts without distorting it. The contrast between the architecture of the th century and the contemporary design is perfectly harmonious. Although the quality of the benefits is equal to its image, the spirit of the house is absolutely not snob.

Exploring the Dordogne, we bought on a sales point grouped a night at breakfast and cocktail of welcome to the Château les Merles... And we were not disappointed! Despite the competitive price we had (hence the difficulty for us of noting quality/price) we were welcomed with warmth and friendliness. The atmosphere (despite a 4* hotel) is very relaxed but professional, with the result that we feel very at home. Hardly arrived, we were entitled to our cocktail of welcome (champagne with vegetables/American sauce) and then leads us in our room. The hotel is due to the association, we were entitled to a room in the villas near the golf course (for a surplus £17). Despite a traditional outside (stone), the interior is very modern with trendy colours (white and grey). The room was very spacious (about 35m2) with a bathroom with 2 washbasins, 1 large 1 bathtub, shower, and all the small toiletries as well as bathrobes.
Breakfast (buffet) was very copious and staff at the small treatments: choice of eggs, several fresh juices, various cheeses and charcuterie, smoked salmon, cereals, breads and pastries, jams, butter...
In conclusion, the Castle is very pleasant, friendly staff, friendly, attentive, professional, the spacious modern rooms.

This hotel is magnic by its setting, its old architecture and modern decor. The welcome is impeccable. Guests are very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is also level. In room stone and exposed beams, large fireplace, serves traditional cuisine with modern and very good presentation. The wine is the property of the same name. it is excellent.
