SENTIER NATURE

It is one of the last gallery forests on the edge of the Champagne region. To explore it, the nature trail starts from the tourist office chalet, where you can find the itinerary and points of interest of this 6 or 12 km loop. From Rethel to Thugny-Trugny, passing by Biermes and Sault-les-Rethel, here is a pleasant walk through the woods marked out to identify some species of trees, to determine their age, to look at their leaves a little more closely. Signs and labels on the circuit also detail the different animal species encountered: green woodpeckers, spinach woodpeckers, squirrels, musician thrushes, herons, etc.
