In 14th century, the castle of Saint-Germain served as sentinel for the fortress of Biron. In 17th century it would have suffered its first change as the two towers were dethroned by a gun fire which would have praised the lord of Biron... The chapel where the son of the philosopher Maine de Biran had married at the beginning of 19h century is located in one of the towers. Many cloak and dagger films were filmed in this decor in particular a sequence of "la fille d'Artagnan" of Philippe Noiret and Sophie Marceau. A legend is attached to this castle. We will not miss to tell it during the visit.
