A house essentially dedicated to Arthur Rimbaud's travels where he lived from 15 to 21 years old in Charleville-Mézières

It is in this house that Mrs. Rimbaud moved in one day of 1869 with her four children. Arthur Rimbaud lived there from 15 to 21 years old, the period of blossoming of his poetic genius. Opened in October 2004, this place is essentially dedicated to Arthur Rimbaud's travels to distant cities and countries. Nine rooms are dedicated to this evocation, in a house that remained as it was in the 19th century. Here, each room evokes a destination of the travelling poet: Brussels, Marseille, London, Harar in Ethiopia..

Bon ce n'est que la maison où les Rimbaud ont vécu un moment, mais c'est bien fait au niveau du cheminement de visite avec les pièces identifiées au sol sur avec nombreuses villes où ils ont séjourné au travers du monde. Pas de mobilier c'est assez austère mais peut être voulu pour rendre une atmosphère particulière, 3 étages de pièces en visite!
