Aux Bories de Marquay" is a charming and quiet guest house ideally located in a small hamlet in the heart of the Périgord Noir, less than 10 minutes from Sarlat, a city of art and a superb medieval town whose historic center is listed as a UNESCO heritage site.

In an old farmhouse typically Périgourdine, completely renovated in 2018 and equipped with an outdoor swimming pool and a 7-seater Spa, our guest house has three air-conditioned double rooms and two air-conditioned parental suites that are there to welcome you.

On the property, there are two magnificent bories remarkably preserved (borie: dry stone construction that could be used as a barn or a stable, whose shape is included in our logo).

Our central location in the Périgord Noir will allow you to reach very quickly all the points of interest of our region. In15 minutes, go to the Vézère valley to go back to the time of Cro Magnon: discover the prehistoric decorated caves of Lascaux, Les Eyzies, Les Combarelles and many others (the valley has 25 of them). If you prefer the medieval or Renaissance period, the Périgord is also called the "region of 1001 castles": Beynac, Commarque, Castelnaud among others are waiting for you. Stroll through one of the "most beautiful villages of France" like La Roque Gageac or Domme. Sports enthusiasts will enjoy superb hiking, canoeing on the Dordogne or the Vézère, or cycling on the Sarlat/Cazoulès greenway.

If you stay several days in our guest house, why not take the opportunity to visit the Padirac chasm , Rocamadour, Collonges la rouge, the Bergerac vineyards,... These prestigious sites are about 1h15 drive from Les Bories de Marquay.

A delicious breakfast will be served inside or outside depending on the weather. You will have the choice between pastries made by Nathalie andhome made jams made by Eric. You will also find homemade yoghurts, fruits and vegetables, cheeses and local ham, fresh fruit juices, eggs, hot drinks.

We also offer catering based on local products 1 to 3 evenings per week.

Do you travel with an electric vehicle? No worries, you will find a recharging station on our parking lot.
