CANVAS MILL
Windmill rebuilt to its original state thanks to the perseverance of volunteers from the Friends of the Windmill.
This emblematic mill still exists, thanks to the perseverance of volunteers from the Amis du Château et du Moulin de Talcy. While the former dates back to the 14th century, the latter operated from 1790 to 1935, before being dismantled in 1956. 22 years later, an old mill was found in Beauce and reassembled in the same place, but it was destroyed by a storm in 2003. The association rebuilt it identically the following year. Today, the wings of this Beauceron chandelier-type windmill are once again turning and driving the millstones.
