Castle presenting a panorama of the art and history of the castles of the Loire, which hosts exhibitions relating its history.
At the gateway to the Loire Valley, the Château Royal de Blois is an invitation to discover the history and architecture of the region's châteaux. A journey through time around the courtyard, dominated by the majestic François I staircase. Four architectural styles rub shoulders: the powerful Gothic of the Estates General, the refined Italian influences of the Louis XII wing, the dazzling Renaissance of the François I wing and the majestic classicism of Mansart.
The former residence of 7 kings and 10 queens, the château immerses visitors in royal life and intrigue. The sumptuously decorated and furnished apartments bear witness to the splendor of the court at the time. Outside, the equestrian statue of Louis XII and the colorful facade are the historical and aesthetic symbols of the place.
For an out-of-the-ordinary adventure, the "unusual visit" allows you to explore spaces closed to the general public. The new interactive 3D tour immerses you in the history of the château, while the Musée des Beaux-Arts presents a reinvented collection. Every year, temporary exhibitions highlight the characters and events that have left their mark on this exceptional place.
And when night falls, it's time for magic! The sound and light show takes over the château's facades, transforming them into a theater of vibrant stories. Spectacular special effects and monumental projections bring to life the great moments of history, starring Catherine de Médicis and the Duc de Guise. An experience where the past is told in color.

April to June, September and October: daily 9am to 6:30pm. July and August: 7pm. Ticket office closes 30 minutes before show time. Free admission for children under 5 (disabled visitors also free). Adults: €14.50. Children (aged 6 to 17): €7.50 (reduced rate of €11 for students, jobseekers, adults with large families and teachers, on presentation of proof). Night visit: €22. Possibility of combined tickets with Son et Lumière and/or Maison de la Magie. Reduced rate of €10 for students, jobseekers, adults with large families and teachers, on presentation of proof. Ticket office closes 30 minutes.

tres belle architecture
Attention visite guidée limitée en nombre de personnes , les personnes devant nous ont pris les dernières places, nous nous sommes rabattus sur des audio guides. Pensez à prendre vos écouteurs vous pouvez ainsi prendre un audio guide pour 2 ;
Pensez aussi au Pass Château de la Loire ( pass concernant plusieurs châteaux, on a des prix réduits mais il faut faire la queue aux guichets si vous avez des enfants sinon, ça sert aussi de coupe file) En règle général les entrées aux châteaux ne sont pas données : plus de 10€ par personne !!!
