Forge consisting of two blast furnaces and two refineries with a vertical wooden wheel to drive the bellows.
Located in the Périgord Vert region, the Forgeneuve hydraulic forge is situated on the Bandiat river, and was first mentioned in the 16th century. It consisted of two blast furnaces and two refineries, and featured a vertical wooden wheel to drive bellows for the forge. In the 18th century, it even produced cannons for the Royal Navy. Listed as a Historic Monument since 1976, it is maintained by an association of enthusiasts.
