Cloister with courtyard lined with galleries, testifying to the transition between Gothic and Renaissance, place of concerts and shows.
The cloister of the Psalette is visible from the street, and accessible from inside Saint-Gatien's Cathedral. It was built between 1442 and 1525, when it housed canons working on illuminated manuscripts. Its courtyard, bordered by galleries, bears witness to the transition between the Gothic and Renaissance periods. The remarkable spiral staircase will lead you to the scriptorium and the chapter bookshop, where the stained glass windows are remarkable. This splendid architecture is featured in Balzac's Curé de Tours. Concerts and shows are organised there.
