For more than 30 years, the Conservatory for adults has offered Tourangeaux the opportunity to learn music theory and practice an instrument, whether you are a beginner, amateur or experienced. The courses are given in the Jean de Ockeghem room, in the former Saint-Denis church, near Place Châteauneuf. You have the opportunity to practice piano, violin, cello, guitar, flute and singing. It is important to note that the practice is oriented towards chamber music, which has been increasingly successful for several years. For more information, do not hesitate to come and meet the professionals on Wednesdays and Fridays in September, from 4pm to 6pm.

While the Jazz à Tours school offers jazz training, as its name suggests, its area of expertise covers all contemporary music. Rock, blues, electro, pop, explore all these fields, as an amateur musician or future professional. Through group and/or private lessons, practice saxophone, viola, drums, etc. with professional teachers. With its various partnerships, the school offers its students opportunities to play, and its musicians are very much a part of local cultural life. Jazz à Tours has already celebrated its 40th anniversary!

L'Espoir Sportif du Beffroi is a judo club in Tours. Founded in 1971, it also offers courses in ju-jitsu, taïso, karate and kendo. The club has 308 members in its three sections. Training takes place at the dojo de l'Europe or at the gymnasium of the Saint-Exupéry school complex. The association's executive is made up of 12 volunteer members, representing each section. The president of the association is Eloïse Breil.

Athletic 3 Tours is an athletics club based in Tours. The club has various sections, including school and local sections. It also has a medical center and a club store. The club's website provides information on news, competition results, club records and photo galleries. The club also organizes its own sporting events.

Budding artists or future music professionals meet in this school created in 1994. Just a stone's throw from downtown, on the other side of the Loire River, professional musicians teach the practice of modern and amplified music. The leisure courses are aimed at experienced amateurs, while the teachers also offer training courses leading to a diploma for future professional artists. Professional artists are also accompanied to finalize their project. Group workshops, individual classes and master classes are part of the school's daily routine. And to get on stage, the school offers multiple opportunities, at the music festival and in partner festivals.

There have been many twists and turns in recent years for Tours FC, the Tourangeau club ranked in Ligue 2 in 2018-2019, then downgraded to National 3 and then Regional 1 following successive administrative demotions. Finally, for the 2023-2024 season, the club is still presided over by Jean-Marc Ettori (and has been since 2013), and it's in National 3 that the Ciel et Noir players are once again playing, still supported by loyal fans! The Ligue 1 of the 1980s is a long way off, but let's keep an eye on what's next!

Rowing is an endurance activity that can be practised outdoors, in a setting that's ideal for getting away from it all. You can row on your own or with a crew, and the club also offers group AviFit classes, a rhythmic, musical activity supervised by a certified coach.

The Tempo Loco is the place that was created by the city of Tours to accompany music groups lacking rehearsal or recording space. Specialized in contemporary music, this centre for creation and information provides musicians with five rehearsal studios, four soundproofed and equipped with equipment (sound system + drums + guitar and bass amps), one of which is accessible to the disabled and a specially equipped studio dedicated to electronic music. It is also possible to record there, with professional equipment. A meeting room is at the disposal of the associative actors, and a documentary collection (press, guide...) is available for free consultation.

The Tennis Club de Tours is a tennis club located in Tours, in the Parc de l'Île Aucard, along the Loire River. With its high-quality clay courts, it attracts both competitors and leisure tennis enthusiasts. The club offers instructional courses as well as competitions. It also has a bar-restaurant where members can meet up and share convivial moments.

The TVB, a legend? It is in any case the great pride of the Tourangeaux in terms of sport. The club has won prestigious European titles, in addition to its 10 French Cups and 8 French championships! When you enter the Palais des Sports and its Grenon hall, you enter the cocoon of the French and European volleyball elite. Moreover, in 2022 the team is in contention for a new CEV European Cup! In its ranks, we find this year an Olympic medalist volleyball player, Kevin Tillié, and the cream of European players. We can only advise you to go and see a match in the arena of Grenon, guaranteed atmosphere around the floor!

Located on the Ile Aucard parking lot, Allée de la Loire, it offers a spacious, well-equipped play area.

A bailar ! This Tourangelle association specialized in Latin dances puts on a show and animates your evenings in salsa, samba, merengue and bachata with performances ranging from 20 minutes to 1h30 of show. But also and above all, it's up to you to dance thanks to the many classes offered by the Salsa Rica dancers! For initiation or improvement, classes take place all year long, in different gyms of Tours centre and Tours north. Salsa, bachata, but also kizomba and zumba are on the program for all levels, with many classes every week and confirmed teachers. Ideal to train before going to practice in the Latin dance evenings!

The Spéléo-Club de Touraine is an association based in Tours which offers caving activities.

The adventure of UTBM, Union Tours Basket Métropole, came to fruition in 2020-2021 with a move up to Pro B. In 2021, everyone went their separate ways and Tours Métropole Basket was born! And since then, the TMB has always been at the top of the bill. In 2022-2023, the team was relegated to the NM1 (Nationale Masculine 1), but the Knights are dynamic players and their fans are relentless. Playing out of the Halle Monconseil, the TMB still has plenty of surprises in store for us. In addition, the players are also committed to meeting young people from the department: top!
