CINEMATHEQUE HENRI LANGLOIS
Founded in 1973, the Cinémathèque Henri Langlois is a municipal cultural structure managed by Henri Langlois Association. She has a large collection of film posters, from 1945 to today, and conducts research into the history of cinema in Touraine. To ensure its mission to make known or rediscover films that marked the history of cinema, famous masterpieces or projects falling into oblivion, the association proposes almost every Monday a meeting at Studio cinemas with one or two films each time, which fits into thematic cycles - the western, war, avant-garde… The opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of cinema and discover rare movies, but also to learn, exchange with members of the association, and guests (directors, academics, critics…). The film library also carries out numerous educational activities in the image of schools and also associates itself with other cultural events throughout the year, such as the Italian film festival Viva Il Cinema, Feathers in Africa around African cultures, Planet Satourne for children and a few others.
