This castle built in 1634, on a rocky promontory, dominates the Escotais valley.

One of the many jewels scattered in the region! Built in 1634 on a rocky promontory, it overlooks the Escotais valley. Of the main building, only the west wing and part of the central building remain. The castle is fully furnished. During the visit, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the valley from the large terrace. Smart tip: consider taking advantage of the 1 km long poetic country trail and the nature education trail around the beautiful pond.

Des gens parlent dans le jardin. Depuis l’extérieur vous les entendez. Vous sonnez comme indiqué 4 fois. Vous avez fait 40mn de route ( au prix de l’essence actuellement ce n’est pas rien ). Et pendant 10mn rien ne se passe… vous téléphonez. Personne ne répond. Vous avez beau regardé les horaires non tout est bon on devrait vous ouvrir et pourtant rien ne se passe. Dommage. A 8€ l’entrée on s’attend à un minimum d’accueil. Passez votre tour…

Petit chateau édifié par le poète Honorat de Bueil de Racan qui est toujours une demeure d'habitation aujourd'hui (d'où l'absence de photos de l'intérieur).
Le lieu a du charme, contient de belles pièces de mobilier et la visite guidée est intéressante.
