Charles Pain's estate has been awarded the "Cave d'Excellence" label. With more than forty hectares of AOC Chinon vines, the extent of this vineyard benefits from a beautiful exposure. This property works the grapes with passion and professionalism to obtain vintages of Cabernet Franc (called Breton) for the red and rosé and Pineau de Loire (called Chenin for the Cuvée Blanche). In the heart of Touraine, this 55-hectare vineyard has been welcoming you since 1987 to let you discover its secrets passed down from generation to generation and its greatest vintages.

Initially a mixed farming operation in 1963, the estate gradually devoted itself solely to viticulture. 26 hectares of vines in AOC Chinon, planted with Chenin for the white grape variety, and Cabernet Franc, also known as "Breton" for the red grape variety. Elodie and Eric Herault and their son currently produce 8 different wines including red, rosé, sparkling, white and an old vine. A limited quantity cuvée is up for grabs! The family's welcome is always friendly and personal, and you will taste wines produced with passion.

La Cave de la Sibylle, a former tourist cellar, will plunge you into the story of Sibylle de Panzoult, written by Rabelais, and into the dreams of Panurge, in an unforgettable setting and scenography. In the past, this cellar was used as a quarry for tuffeau, the typical Touraine stone. It is also a former mushroom farm. After your visit, don't hesitate to enter the adjoining store: 15 winegrowers from Panzoult and the surrounding area offer a tasting of selected AOC Chinon wines, accompanied by local produce.

Near Chinon, Domaine Grosbois extends over 20 hectares in the heart of the Vienne valley. During a one-hour visit or for a one- to three-day exploration, discover biodynamic viticulture and polyculture through the various activities offered by the passionate owners. Nicolas and Sylvain have chosen biodynamic viticulture for their vines and the entire estate, in order to work in harmony with nature.
