In Lussault-sur-Loire, admire different kinds of fish, from small creatures living in the water to rare specimens.
Just five minutes from Amboise and fifteen minutes from Tours, the Aquarium de Touraine welcomes you to its three ecosystems (Freshwater of the Loire - Tropical Freshwater - Indo-Pacific Seas): a fascinating universe for all! You'll be able to admire all kinds of fish, from small creatures living in the water to rare specimens. Eighty tanks, 5,000 animals, 360 different species and over two million liters of water to delight dreamers: clownfish, giant sturgeon, pike, pike-perch, Koi carp, piranha, spectacled caiman, not forgetting white-tip and black-tip sharks. Giant catfish, "predators of cold fresh waters" that can measure over a metre in length, can be admired in a captivating dark room. The adventure is spectacular, especially the thirty-meter-long, all-glass tunnel through which you can pass to see the fish and sharks swimming around, and overhead near the wreck of Saint-Exupéry's plane. There are also fun courses for children. A mesmerizing realm for the whole family. We love the exceptional "Soigneur d'un jour" and "Le Labo" immersions, where you can learn more about the aquariums and their caretakers. You can even celebrate your birthday in a fun way. For over thirty years now (anniversary in 2024), the Aquarium de Touraine has been a must-see in the Loire Valley, with friends and family, all year round!
