The Tours-Fondettes agrocampus is an agricultural high school located in Fondettes, less than 6 km from downtown Tours. The school's farm is an educational production unit that operates according to the customs and traditions of the profession. It provides essential support for teaching, notably by enabling practical work to be carried out, animals to be handled and experiments to be set up. The farm's 314 hectares of usable farmland and 4 complementary production workshops enable it to meet the objectives set by law. It employs a team made up of a farm manager, employees and apprentices divided by sector, as well as technical teachers/trainers. The farm diversifies its activities through local partnerships, and generates sales in ornamental horticulture and market gardening, field crops, dairy production and sheep farming. A new dairy building is currently under construction.
