ROUVRAY CASTLE
Medieval castle having kept its main building with 3 fortified towers, equipped with a drawbridge, loopholes, a park of 3,5 ha.
This former medieval fortress has preserved its main building flanked by three fortified towers with a Renaissance entrance châtelet. The estate has belonged to the Barte de Rouvray et de Tristan family since 1530. Listed as a historic monument in 1971, this attractive château has been restored to make the private part of the estate habitable. The château features drawbridges and loopholes for protection from the enemy, even if the latter's purpose was not defense. A worthwhile visit, not forgetting the superb 3.5-hectare park!
