Ten kilometres from Azay, Château de la Roche, built in 1580, offers appellations Touraine in white and rosé (quiet or champagne method for each of the two), and names Touraine-Azay on the bottle only. The 6,5 hectares of the area are used in organic viticulture (AB label). There are four varieties (groleau, cabernet franc, provence and chenin). The vinification of whites is done in a barrel, that of the reds and the rosé in the tank in the chai.
