ARCHEOLAB
Museum presenting the results of the excavations carried out in Abily and workshops to discover the life of prehistoric men.
South Touraine is home to many archaeological sites. In Abilly, excavations carried out between 1981 and 1991 revealed some fascinating remains. To showcase them, a museum was opened in 1992, presenting the discoveries and the research techniques used. A reconstruction of a Neolithic workshop-habitat can be seen here, alongside exhibitions on the Palaeolithic and Bronze Ages. Immersive workshops help visitors better understand the daily lives of prehistoric man. An enriching visit, ideal as a complement to the Musée de la Préhistoire.
