The castle has a park with French and English gardens, a large Napoleon labyrinth and a children's castle.
The Château de Valençay is one of the most beautiful monuments in the Indre region. While the château itself is splendid, so too are its French and English gardens, which are a pleasure to stroll through.
In addition to all this, there's plenty going on around the château, including balls, re-enactments and exhibitions throughout the year. The emphasis, for example, is on Talleyrand's epicurean soul, with gastronomy, theater, music and games from the 1st Empire period.

Mobilier intéressant avec ses histoires, belles cuisines au sous-sol et histoire du cuisinier Antonin Carême « le cuisinier des rois … » le premier à porter la toque (vidéo).
Audioguide à disposition, narre les histoires mais en devient énervant, n’apporte pas grand-chose à la visite, les panneaux explicatifs sont largement suffisants.
