VALENÇAY CASTLE
The castle has a park with French and English gardens, a large Napoleon labyrinth and a children's castle.
Valençay Castle is one of the most beautiful monuments of the Indre. Equally beautiful, the park, with its French and English gardens, offers a pleasant walk in the middle of basins, traced alleys, fountains, flower beds, sculptures and even some animals. Throughout the promenade, a period music accompanies visitors and plunges them into the festive and enchanting atmosphere of Talleyrand's receptions. Since 2014, it is possible to visit the impressive kitchens. The whole family will also rejoice at the great Labyrinth of Napoleon (2,000 m ²), the largest labyrinth of France, where an exciting adventure awaits him. To find the exit, you must respond to enigmas (adapted by age) and collect the clues that open the 7 doors and cross 3 enchanting universes (country of gardens, senses and mirrors). Before going back to the road, the youngest children can enjoy a last moment at the children's castle, which is an outdoor playground. Walking in the park is done on foot, by bicycle or in cart between green and farm animals. The park is accessible to dogs kept on leash.
