ST. ROCH'S HOSPICE MUSEUM
Museum presenting beautiful collections of sculptures, paintings and contemporary art on the site of the former Hôtel-Dieu in Issoudun.
The Musée de l'Hospice, a former 12th-century Hôtel-Dieu, houses a 15th-century chapel, patients' wards and 17th-18th-century wings. The 3,200 sq. m. of exhibits combine ancient sculpture, pharmacy, non-European art and contemporary creation. Discover a unique harpsichord, a rich collection of African and Oceanic art, as well as 31 "silenes" and 379 pharmacy jars. The extension welcomes modern artists and the park offers a cultural and gourmet stroll.
