The manufacturing is an important testimony to the industrial heritage of Châteauroux. It was built between 1858 and 1862 with an area of 3 hectares. The plan adopted here by F. Rolland and Dauvergne will serve as a model for other construction plants for more than half a century. After making cigars, snuff powder, scaferlati, its closure occurred in 1998. Its restoration has been beautifully carried out and since 2005 it has been hosting several companies and administrations. A prestigious hotel-restaurant has recently taken place. Feel free to admire the building at night, because it has a beautiful lighting.
