The Golden State is also renowned for being the cradle of America's LGBTQI+ community, a legacy it inherited from the 1967 Summer of Love. Nicknamed "The Parkland State", it boasts a rare natural beauty, between deserts, mountains and the Pacific coast. An exceptional environment that is suffering from climate change, undoubtedly the biggest issue now facing politicians.
