The Alliance Française de Minneapolis / Saint Paul was founded in the 1920s by a small group of people who were passionate about French culture and language. The institution, which had only a few dozen members in its early years, now has about 1,000 members and hosts about 900 students. The Alliance Française offers French language courses, and organizes events, film screenings and readings related to French culture.
