A multi-sport venue that opened in 2000 and can seat up to 18,000 people. During the field hockey season, be sure to catch a game of the Minnesota Wild, who call the Xcel Energy Center (nicknamed the "X") home, along with the Minnesota Swarm, La Crosse's team. The venue also hosts conventions and concerts, with Madonna and Shania Twain among the artists who have performed there. The stadium is conveniently located and within walking distance of downtown and the Light Rail stop.

TARGET CENTER

Team sports

This multi-sports hall located in the heart of the city underwent major renovations before being reopened in October 2017. It must be said that since its inauguration in 1990, it had become somewhat faded and was in dire need of a little facelift. The Target Center is home to the Timberwolves men's basketball team and the Lynx women's team. But it is also a great concert venue that can be transformed into a theater. The hall can now accommodate nearly twenty thousand spectators.

U.S. BANK STADIUM

American soccer

Opened in 2016, US Bank Stadium is the largest stadium in Minnesota with a capacity of 73,000. It is the home of the Vikings, the local American soccer team, whose name echoes the Swedish origins of some Minnesotans. With only 4 SuperBowls (NFL championship finals) to its credit, all of them lost, the Vikings are far from the high level of their neighbors from Green Bay. Due to its huge capacity, the stadium also hosts huge concerts, such as Rammstein in the summer of 2022.
