The city of Wilmington is located in Illinois. It has a city government that manages the city's public services. City council members are elected to four-year terms, as is the mayor. The City Council is the city's legislative body, passing ordinances and resolutions that become city laws. All council meetings are open to the public, and all citizens are invited to attend. The current mayor is Ben Dietz, whose term expires in 2025.
