The historic center, built around the ancient abbey, features traditional stone buildings with distinctive windows carved in a local stone called "pietra gentile". Piazza Sant'Antonio, the heart of town life, is adorned with beech trees and lime blossoms, and is embellished by the town hall and a pretty fountain with a statue of the Virgin Mary at the top.
