Inaugurated in 1972, the BmL is the largest public library in France, covering more than 27,290^m2 and holding more than 1.8 million documents in its "silo". Children go downstairs to the garden floor, exhibitions are at the entrance, music on the first floor, while the old collections are kept on the fifth floor reserved for researchers. The Culture subscription card gives access to the municipal libraries and the exhibitions of the 6 municipal museums.

Its name is a tribute to the emblematic film by Chris Marker. Managed by Clermont Auvergne Métropole and the association " Sauve qui peut le court métrage", it houses an incredible collection of 120,000 short films that can be freely consulted, as well as thousands of books, magazines and educational resources on cinema. It is the only place in France to offer the entire collection of documentaries "Images de la culture" of the CNC. Access is free for all film lovers!

The Médiathèque Hugo Pratt is one of the main media libraries in the Clermont Auvergne Métropole network. It offers users extensive collections in all media, organized by theme and genre. Spacious and modern, it features shelving for adults and children, as well as reading and relaxation areas, and work rooms. Cultural events are regularly organized (workshops, readings, meetings, etc.), and the facility is ideally suited to welcoming the public. Computer workstations and wifi on site.

The library was created in 1984 and has occupied the building of the former post since 1995. It has 17000 books in free access, 3000 books in reserve, 750 books, 500 Cds, 120 Dvds and K 7 video. Thanks to a recent extension, the library proposes new spaces: " adult "," youth ", and" multimedia "rooms, in which it is possible to consult periodicals and access the Internet.

The Heritage Library holds more than 170,000 documents, witnesses to the memory of the Auvergne: medieval parchments, prints, newspapers, old documents, rare and precious of all kinds. The consultation is free, except for some documents subject to special conditions. The Overnia digital library allows you to discover the digitized collections from home. The library hosts the Centre international Blaise Pascal and the Société des Amis d'Henri Pourrat.

It is housed in the Maison du Diocèse d'Annecy. The library offers a wide selection of books, magazines, DVDs and CDs in the field of religious studies, such as the Bible, theology, spirituality, pastoral action, liturgy and patristics. It also offers works in other disciplines such as philosophy, social sciences, history, biographies and testimonies, arts, literature, as well as a Salesian and Savoyard collection. The library has an online catalog where visitors can consult the works available.

Pride. Not all French cities have an academy. But why Annecy and what is this Florimontane Academy? This true academy, which is part of the National Conference of Academies, is the worthy heir to the first French language academy created in 1607 by two Savoyards: François de Sales and Antoine Favre. This first academy flourished for only three seasons, but it produced beautiful fruits that came back to nourish the spirits in the 19th century. Today, this academy publishes the Revue savoisienne annually, manages the castle of Montrottier and a library, open on Thursday mornings, of 12,500 books on Savoy.

The Bib'à Dom' association in Lyon offers a unique service: home delivery of documents for people who can't get around, especially PRMs. We offer a wide selection of books, DVDs, CDs, audio books and magazines. It also offers read-alouds for the visually impaired. A volunteer can help you register with the library and select the books that interest you. Membership costs €12/year. Occasional deliveries are also possible, for a maximum of €6/6 months.
