Press clubs Rhône-Alpes

Chaired by Géraldine Houot and Aurore Staiger, this Auvergne press club, created in 1988 by Paul Bonnetain, brings together journalists and communicators from the region. Once a year, it publishes a press and communication directory with the members of the club (journalists, communication officers, local managers), the list of media and regional and practical information. The association also publishes a weekly newsletter. The Press Club regularly organizes press conferences, debates, freelance aperitifs and meetings with local media. It participates in the life of the region as much as it defends press freedom.

Created in 1976, the Press Club has been able to renew itself and move in the right direction. With less of an inter-individual approach, more openness and events, the Press Club is experiencing a great dynamic and brings together more than 300 journalists and communicators around a new board headed by Jean-Pierre Vacher and a dynamic team. At a time when it is essential to decipher the news, the Press Club is setting up modules for media education and the fight against infoxes.
