Nevertheless, attention: The circuit from Apt to Forcalquier is one of the most difficult of the Véloroute véloroute, with its 56 kilometers and a difference of 800 meters. It is especially recommended to the most sporty of you!

A 4-hour loop from the dock, the Port-Man circuit begins with the plant trail, a route of 1 h 30 round-trip linking the village to the beach of Palud, allowing to discover the Mediterranean flora through a coastline offering beautiful views. Passionnés of flora, we recommend before you get the brochure "Plant trail" at the Maison du Parc (1,50 €): it will prove useful in deciphering the numbered plates marked throughout this first part. From the landing, go to the Post Office, take the first
track on the left, and logically follow the signs "plant trail". From Fort du Moulin to Fort de Port-Man (count approximately 1 h 30), follow the point of the Miladou and its point of view on the rock of the Rascas, the Beach of La Palud (final point of the plant trail), the tip of the Galley and its panorama on the long sand, then the beach of Port-Man. In normal time, the loop ends with the massif through the ruins of the Sardine, the pass of the Four paths and the road of the forts; in the event of fire danger, a half-turn will have to be made.

In the direction of the Courtade beach you will see a stone point. History tells us that a young shepherd named Charles in this clearing a pine in honour of his young wife he loved so much. If the original pine that gave its name to this uncommon place has disappeared - however replaced by a young tree of the same species - the tradition has remained unchanged: young married people are invited to jump over the point to live happily and especially the ladies who want to promote a pregnancy and an offspring, the borne with a phallic shape…

The Maison de la Vallée du Champsaur, located in Ancelle, France, is a natural site offering information and documentation on the region. It also presents temporary exhibitions and sells products and books from the Ecrins National Park. A permanent exhibition entitled "Entrez dans la haie" is open to the general public. The Maison de la Vallée is a joint reception area for the Ecrins National Park and the Champsaur-Valgaudemar Tourist Office. Admission is free.

The Cape Croisette is a small peninsula that separates the port from the Goudes of Callelongue, facing the Île Maïre. It is on foot by a small rocky path from the Goudes to a tiny port. The small beach of the Monkeys Bay is accessible by a staircase but very busy in summer. It must name its sulfurous past, because in this contraband district, children were asked to be "mute like monkeys"…

This temple of modernity, made by the architect Robert Mallet-Stevens, offers the appearance of a set of superimposed cubes, arranged according to the terrain and the sun race, to offer maximum sunshine throughout the day. The garden has large bays as many gaps on the landscape as the rectangular shape can evoke the presence of a painting on a wall. Many artists lived and created in this villa of extreme comfort, with multiple bathrooms, a swimming pool, squash. After the death of Marie-Laure de Noailles in 1972, the villa was finally bought by the City of Hyères and is now in the form of a museum of modern art, art and architecture centre.

From 1850 to 1930, beautiful villas were built for fortunés or wealthy industrialists. For example, that of Alexis Godillot, Avenue Riondet, Villa Tolosan, avenue du 15 e-Corps, built for the Duke of Luynes, or the Tunisian villa, avenue de Beauregard, superb Moorish style construction.

700,000 years old natural excavations, these caves made of tuff offer an exceptional collection of underground landscapes adorned with stalactites, stalagmites and giant stalactites. The constant presence of water over the centuries prevented the formation of stalagmites. The monks of the abbey of Saint-Victor were certainly the first occupants of the caves. Used as hiding against the invader, they were sold in 1566 to Nicolas d'Albertas, Lord Gemenos, which he modified and strengthened.

Absolute calm, harmony with nature, the charm of a rose garden in this natural garden located in a small valley on the Saint-Tropez peninsula. Since 2013, the sisters Anne and Julia have been cultivating old and wild roses, a mixture of botanical roses, old roses and modern hybrids, 300 varieties of fragrant roses that have never known the slightest chemical product. The rose varieties presented in the garden are offered for sale and the collection is enriched every year with new varieties.

This loop from Tende is a 90 km circuit with a 1,500 m difference in altitude. It crosses Tende, Castérino, the Tende pass, Limone, the Lords pass, Upega, Monesi, Triora and La Brigue. It concerns two municipalities in France (Tende and La Brigue) and 4 in Italy. It can be done on foot, by mountain bike or by 4x4. This walk requires some preparation. Several circuits are possible in 4x4, offering an exceptional panorama. Tuesdays and Thursdays are prohibited for motor vehicles, and a reservation is mandatory for Saturdays and Sundays, the site being limited to 80 vehicles per day and 140 motorcycles or quads. The Huveaune is one of the rivers that feed Marseille. His role was of primary importance and he was even divinized in the time of the Gauls. The river originates in the Sainte-Baume massif and, according to legend, it is the tears of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine that would feed the river (she lived for more than 30 years in a cave on a massif). The section of interest to us here is located in the heart of the city and easily accessible from Michelet Boulevard. From there, you can head east towards Saint-Loup, on pleasantly equipped bike paths and walk along the river. To the south, you will reach the Prado beaches along a green and quiet path.
