Whithorn Priory is the end point of this thousand year old pilgrimage route, which has recently been revived with the creation of a guidebook (available for £12). It is divided into 13 segments, which will be as many ideas for a walk if you are in the area. Each one is marked by remarkable buildings, both architecturally and historically. The itinerary follows existing walking and cycling paths, coastal trails or passes through little-used secondary roads.
