In addition to the classic pitches for tents, caravans and camper vans, you can opt for a shielding: a kind of large, permanently installed tent that is reminiscent of those in a military camp. It accommodates from one to six people, and some even have their own bathroom and a small basic kitchenette. Residents have access to shared showers and toilets and a common room. Rental cottages are also available.

Deer even come to walk there at the end of the day, on the adjacent golf course. Tents, caravans and camper vans are welcome and you can also opt for a pod, a kind of small hut where you can stay between two and four people. Showers, toilets, microwave and refrigerator are available.
SANGO SANDS OASIS
Read moreSituated on the A838 between Lazy Crofter and the Tourist Office, this campsite enjoys a superb view. The location on the coast is impressive and you can pitch your tent for free in the off-season (showers and toilets closed). In season, it is better to book in advance if you need electricity. The campsite also has a good small pub-restaurant with the same name. Its menu has a good choice and is reasonably priced. The decoration is quite typical and warm, with wood, brick and a billiard table.
KINLOCH VILLAGE CAMPSITE
Read moreSituated on the banks of Loch Scresort, a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal and Kinloch Castle, it offers a minimal accommodation solution at low cost. The campsite is basic but still includes two toilets and two showers. No need to make a reservation, you pitch your tent and deposit your money in the honesty box, and it is also possible to book your arrival on the website. Wooden cabins or chalets, as well as a "bothy", are also available for more comfort. The site is managed by the Isle of Rùm Community Trust.
CASHEL CAMPSITE
