In this very simple and refined setting, The Granary is a typical and traditional bar-restaurant, which is renowned for its quality and relaxed atmosphere. The plates are well stocked and we enjoy the dishes on offer. The desserts in particular are generous, gourmet and very, very good! The afternoon tea, accompanied by small pastries, is very popular. The terrace is also very pleasant if the weather allows it to enjoy the atmosphere of the place and Hay-on-Wye! The plus: we have a good vegetarian and vegan choice.

If you don't know where to start your day in the Cathays district, this elegant artisan bakery, with its unmistakable yellow façade, prepares tasty and creative brunches. We're convinced by the avocado toast with poached eggs, cinnamon rolls and banana bread. It's beautiful and good! You can also simply drop in for lunch, or take advantage of snack time to indulge in one of the many pastries on offer, accompanied by tea or coffee. It's a real treat and a pleasure to return.

Popular with locals, this waterfront restaurant serves perfectly prepared cuisine, served in a brightly lit room. You will find excellent seafood and fish, coming directly from the Menai Strait, such as mussels (the marinières are very successful), lobster and sea bass. Otherwise, you can indulge in fish tacos, beef tacos or the vegetarian option. Apart from fish, the menu includes a choice of meat, pizzas and burgers. There is also a fine wine list, as well as a nice choice of cocktails and gins.

Since 2001, The Shed Seafood has been a small, relaxed but extremely welcoming bistro overlooking the fishing port, offering freshly landed fish and shellfish daily just a few meters away. It doesn't get much fresher than this! On the menu, tasty iodized cuisine. A particular highlight: fish & chips in all its forms, with variations on different fish such as cod, haddock, hake or monkfish tail... Super terrace, very pleasant in summer or when the sun is shining.

The origins of the Britannia Inn date back to the ^17th century. Now run by the Botchett couple, this popular establishment on Aberdovey Harbour is renowned for its iodized cuisine, especially its crab salad. Other highlights include smoked salmon, mackerel and smoked haddock. Very good Cajun chicken for a change. When the sun's out, the terrace overlooks Cardigan Bay. As for the rooms, they are very pretty, cosy and comfortable, some with a superb view over the bay.
