This weekly newspaper has a strong reputation on the coast and particularly in the area of Les Sables. Le Courrier Vendéen is a weekly French regional newspaper published on Thursdays around Challans. It is one of the 60 titles of the Publihebdos group. Le Courrier Vendéen was founded on 26 January 1996. Like its sister papers Le Journal des Sables and LeJournal du Pays Yonnais, it belongs to the Publihebdos group. The Courrier Vendéencovers local news in the north-western part of the Vendée from Saint-Gilles to Bouin, and from Aizenay to Montaigu.
