Media library Ile-De-France

Opened in 2000, the Médiathèque library is a nearby cultural and social establishment accessible to all. It offers more than 130 000 documents (magazines, books, Cds, Dvds…) and offers animations for children around tales, movies and concerts, but also adults, with debates and exhibitions… It is a rich, pleasant and warm place where you can spend time.

The youth, disco and multimedia sector on Wednesday and Saturday at the same time, Tuesday and Friday only in the afternoon. In summer the library opens on Wednesday, Friday afternoon and Saturday.

This media library specializes in the arts. In total, it contains over 73,000 documents: books, magazines, CDs, recorded texts and DVDs on dance, theater, film and the visual arts, as well as a local collection on Val Maubuée and Seine-et-Marne. By registering with the library, you will also be able to borrow documents free of charge from other libraries in Val Maubuée towns.

Rich in 16 000 documents, its thematic fund focuses on painting, from mural painting to contemporary painting through Impressionism.

With some 10 000 documents, this library has developed a musical thematic fund of 3 800 documents in which all genres are represented.

Inaugurated in 2006, this library is located in the Cultural Centre of Ferme Corsange. With some 12 000 documents - books, cds, cassettes, dvds and cd-books - it includes, in addition, 70 press titles, 3 multimedia posts, 2 access posts for the computer catalogue, 1 of which are accessible to the wrong and non-sighted, 1 DVD consultation post. It also has a thematic fund dedicated to the film adaptation of literary works.

Designed by the architects Paul Chemetov and Borja Huidobro, the library whose work began in April 2004 opened its doors at the 2007 Heritage Days in the heart of the urban centre, between the RER RER station and the university centre of the Val d'Europe. In addition to its very important fund, it is set up for the comfort of blind and visually impaired with access to the collections of the library library using specific software - speech synthesis, Braille printing. It is also the place of learning and languages with the tools necessary for initiation and upgrading in essential knowledge - French and foreign languages, mathematics… - using innovative software. A 120-seat auditorium and 12 multimedia consultation stations complete this equipment.

Located in the Priory's cultural centre, the Médiathèque library has a general fund of 16 000 documents: books, books-cassettes, cds… of 4 500 journals - 85 press titles - and 4 multimedia consultation posts, and above all an important thematic fund devoted to the youth image book. In the footsteps of Jean de Brunhoff and his Babar character born in Chessy, 2 300 image albums tell in colour the history of this particular narrative mode in youth literature.

This beautiful 4,000 m² space, spread over five levels, offers four different sections: youth, adults, studies and heritage. In all, it contains some 120,000 documents. The ancient collection is particularly noteworthy: incunabula, autograph letters by Bossuet, illuminated manuscripts such as the ^13th-century Roman de Renart. In short, an ideal place for those wishing to deepen their knowledge of Meaux's history before or after their visit! A second media library, the smaller Chenonceau media library, is located in the Espace Caravelle.

This large library is mainly attended by students and students of the faculty, but also by whole families who take away a few documents or simply relax by reading in well-established and very clear spaces. A very friendly place to culture.

The public reading network of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines includes no fewer than eight libraries and a Bookmobile. A free service that allows all residents of the town to access a rich collection of some 542 000 documents. With a single membership, you can reserve a title from each of these institutions and access the entire network. You can borrow books, magazines, C.D., K 7 audio or video, and software in a media library and report the document in any of the library libraries.

Opened in 2002, the Jacques Baumel media library offers the public a set of 230 000 documents in a modern, glass-filled building. Four poles, four universes: a youth space for children and teens on the ground floor; on the first floor, the "Literature and language" cluster of Roman, BD, philosophy and religion, as well as the Science and Society cluster; finally to the second floor the Music, Cinema, Arts and Leisure cluster, with books, Cds and Dvds. Looking to new technologies, the library has a growing number of digital resources. It is also a living cultutel site, offering exhibitions, signature meetings, literary cafés, workshops, conferences. Four annual appointments have become inescapable: The Salon du Livre Jeunesse, the Salon de la BD, Les Rendez-vous du Digital and Les Rencontres de l'Histoire. Three annexes (Mont-Valérien, Renoir, Mazurières) and a reading service outside the walls (from retirement homes and homes) serve as a proximity relay.

The adult space consists of books, compact discs and MP 3, DVD, VHS (fiction and documentaries). The "studies" area includes encyclopedias, dictionaries, reference books, local background on the history of Sèvres, the department and the region, a former th, th and th centuries old. The hall has over 100 journals to consult or take over, the daily press, and 380 books published between 1843 and 1914 by Pierre-Jules Hetzel, a writer known as P.J. The music space is open to compact disc loans, partitions, music books, and DVD. The youth area is structured around books, magazines, compact discs, Dvds, VHS, and ludo-educational cds. Every Wednesday every Wednesday can attend the clock at 10 pm; 11 h from 4 years, and one Saturday per Month: the "tales of this tell me" at 16 p. m. and for all.

Opened in 2010, the Gustave Flaubert multimedia library offers a truly cultural space. On the^1st floor, adults have access to a reading room. On the^2nd floor, the children's area features a storytelling workshop, where every Wednesday the little ones can listen to extraordinary stories. Internet stations, multimedia equipment with reading systems for the visually impaired and a whole range of audiovisual resources are also available.

The Beauchamp multimedia library is housed in a magnificent 1,200 m², two-storey building, which boasts no fewer than 15,000 books for adults and children (comics, manga, novels, etc.), as well as 3,200 audio documents. In addition to the wide range of books on offer, there are several areas dedicated to working in complete tranquillity.
