A fan of the 70 s and the films of Godard, Truffaut and co, welcome to the Grand Action, the establishment that loves the classics. Founded in 1970, this film belonged to the Action network, which proposed a policy of classic film reproductions in new copies in four cinemas (Action Schools, Studio des Grands-Augustins, Action Christine and Grand Action). Since then, two halls have broadcast exclusive American and classic films. The largest room, Henri Langlois (dedicated to the founder of the French Cinémathèque), is absolutely magnificent, with a screen of 10 metres and 223 seats arranged in a drawer. The 3 D has its place in this cinema temple dedicated to great thrills and great moments of action.

Formerly called Action Ecoles then the Desperdado, this beautiful establishment, opened in 1977 to showcase revivals of old American films, was bought by director Jean-Pierre Mocky. The latter, in addition to showing his own films, offered every day in both cinemas a classic French film, an American classic in VOST and a genre film in VOST. After a recent change of ownership, this cinema now specializes in revivals of old films, particularly American films in their original version. Festivals and debates are regularly held there, as at the Christine Cinéma club, these two cinemas being part of the same entity: the Paris Cinéma Club.

Behind a façade of old stone with a patina of time and adorned with a sign in gold letters is a precious establishment: The Christine Cinema Club, formerly known as the Christine and Christine 21 Action. Since 1973, two arthouse cinemas have been welcoming lovers of the 7th Art and cult films. The Louis XIV period entrance door is the symbol of this cinema made of finesse and passion. The programme gives pride of place to classics from all over the world, particularly American and European. Festivals and debates are regularly held there, as at the Ecole Cinema Club, these two cinemas being part of the same entity, the Paris Cinema Club.

The mythical Studio 28 continues to scintillate at the top of Montmartre. This independent cinema hall is designed to be «art and trial room and neighborhood». And this is a successful bet. Almost ten films are offered each week and the programming is available on the website. A preview is also scheduled each Tuesday. Waiting for your meeting, you can dine at one of the bar tables or browse the hall to enjoy the exhibition (renewed every month). If there is a mythical place dedicated to the 7 ^th Art at a few feet from Saint Michel, it is the cinema Le Champo and its two rooms. Or how to feel in the shoes of a young festival in the heart of the New Wave… This mythical place of Art and Trial opened on June 22, 1938 at 18 am instead of a bookstore. In the early years, Marcel Pagnol, Jacques Becker and of course Jacques Tati, who today welcomes the public, are put to the credit. Since then, all major filmmakers have had the privilege of having a cycle, a night or a meeting open to the public.

After several months of renovation, this neighborhood cinema in the turbulent history reopened its doors in May 2011, for a new start. Opened in the heart of the New Wave (1969) in the restructured premises of a former cabaret, this unique room has 208 seats and everything has been renovated to offer better quality, comfort and hospitality for conferences and conferences. Stylish design, star night blue seats, very original lustre next to the window… Saint-Germain-des-Prés intends to revitalize its programming (clearly oriented art and trial) and refidéliser a clientele to compete with the competition of the two multisalles cinemas at the Carrefour de l'Odéon. In this mission, the financial support of writer Bernard-Henri Lévy will not be too much. 

This is an institution marked by a charismatic personality: Roger Diamantis. This madman of the 7 ^th Art sacrificed his life for films, which opened in 1971 a cinema in place of a hotel. Two rooms were available, one of which was devoted to one film for two years: " La Salamander "by Alain Tanner. Result: 300 000 entries. Roger Diamantis died in 2010 as a film publisher and has always supported experimental film and film films. Cavalier, Godard, Kusturika, Jarmush… all had the right to programming. Today, the Saint-André des Arts has 3 rooms, always refuses the unlimited pass, and welcomes the first of its quality.

Mac Mahon is one of the most beautiful cinemas still in operation. Opened in 1938, the Parisians were able to discover in the Liberation of all American films that they had been deprived of during the occupation. The room won a very strong reputation. In the 50 s, we even talked about the band of the "Mac-Mahoniens", those who like Bertrand Tavernier or Patrick Brion visited the place with diligence. In 1959, Les Cahiers du Cinéma took over the Mac-Mahoniens manifesto, which clamaient loud and clear: " staging on the scenario ". The culmination of this golden age: in Jean-Luc Godard's classic "A Bout de Souffle", many scenes are filmed in the Mac-Mahon. After a difficult period in the 80 s, cinema is still a place of worship dedicated to the great American classics. It was the Bolloré group that began a lot of work in the 2000 s.

In the heart of Montparnasse is this unique cinema. The 7 Parnassiens have, as its name indicates, 7 rooms for a total of 835 chairs. Created in 1979 at the heart of the shopping mall, he had at the beginning of 5 rooms. Since then, authors'films in original language have been honoured. A room is dedicated to African films, as well as to many festivals during the year. Debates are also held all year round, as well as an art gallery that displays paintings by artists every month. 

This is a part of the company "Les Screens de Paris" which represents a circuit of five independent cinemas. The aim of these cinemas, such as that of the Reflet Medici, is to broadcast authors'films, all in comfortable rooms and enjoy a performance performance. On-site staff know the history of the cinema with a warm welcome. Before being a cinema of 3 rooms, the establishment was, until 1964, a theatre theatre named Le Théâtre des Night. The public is thus born on the boards two stars of the big screen: Gérard Philipe and Maria Casarès. If the rooms have gained modernity and comfort, the spirit of the place is fortunately always the same. Here, the filmmakers and activists are marching: created in 1960 in the Latin Quarter, in full effervescence, the cinema hosted all kinds of militant projections in 1968. Today, this author cinema has a very good selection and regularly organizes festivals, retrospectives, predates and debates.

The two rooms in this archipelago located in the heart of the 10 ^th arrondissement have beautiful hours in front of them. Since 2001, the establishment has been offering programming very related to music, live shows and animation cinema. All the arts are represented. And say that in 1893, this place was called "The Concert of the Japanese City" and was a popular coffee-concert, where Maurice Chevalier or Maxime Lisbon took Place in their early stages. It was only in 1911 that the room turned into cinema. The "Paris-Cinéma" was born and kept this name until 2001… From silent to speaking, through today's shows: this is a territory not to be missed…

Another member of the Paris Screens, which valiantly resists the large multiplex in the Bastille district. Opened in 1934, this cinema has always sailed on the second waters, first by airing series B movies, and then programming X films. The Bastille Palace reconvertit in the projection of author's films or small budgets and is renamed Majestic Bastille in 1995. Today's two rooms offer great conditions for spectators who can enjoy a large panoramic screen 11 metres wide. 

The Majestic Passy, which belongs to the network Les Screens du Cinéma, orne the heart of the 16 th arrondissement. It's the only cinema in the neighborhood. Opened in 1930, it was first called Royal Passy and then Broadway. The economic difficulties encountered led to the closure of the cinema in 1982, which was replaced by a fur store. He reintroduced in 1994 with three modern rooms, including the large room equipped with a panoramic screen of 13 meters. Popular and subtitled films are available every week. A bar is also available. Finally, many meetings are organized, but also conferences and meetings for people with disabilities. 

Welcome to the temple of real art lovers, between cinema students and nostalgic for modern cinema. Former famous cabaret of the Latin Quarter who lives among others, it was in 1957 that this unique hall of 125 places became a cinema. First named Studio Cujas before being called Accattone, in reference to Pier Paolo Pasolini's first film, this film offers daily films of yesterday and today. On the spot also: a bookstore, a gallery and a bar to speak travelling and fondus. Be careful at the seats in the room: most of them have names of great personalities… In sum, a place that smells the Dolce Vita…

This cinema with a room of 159 seats offers 3 to 4 films per week. Since 2003, the Art and Trial Room has Dolby digital sound. The Atalante is doing its cinémathèque during the summer period. The Film Jean Renoir, housed in a former th-century salt basket, offers programming combining recent films and films "art and test" in its own room equipped with Dolby SR sound. Frequently, the institution organizes "debate evenings" in the presence of the director of the projected film. As for the most enthusiastic, they are offered a joint subscription with the Ciné Cinema 7 at very interesting rates. But sometimes the scene places a few intimate concerts…

In the lower part of St. Cyr, near the town hall and in front of the military high school, the classified arts room and 160-seat tests broadcast 2 to 3 films per week, including those who make the film news (in V.F. or V.O.) and programming dedicated to the young public; sometimes premières, debates or short films are also offered to spectators. Recently, the cinema offers an extra session every Sunday at 19 p. m., as well as Senior Friday. This is a meeting for 60 years for 3rd followed by a convivial snack, once a month. Cinema also shows stage readings for the theatre studio subscribers on Thursday evening. Since 2008, cinema has enriched the offer of its activities: now there are cinema sessions especially for parents who want to watch a movie without leaving their children. Stroller area, corner change, moderate sounds… everything is planned to welcome the small family under the best conditions (3,50 single rate).

Here's another 7th Art cult venue to discover for its atypical aspect. Since 1926, the Studio des Ursulines has been a landmark for avant-garde cinema in Paris. The cradle of the movement in France, it has hosted screenings of innovative and sulphurous films, such as Antonin Artaud's "La Coquille et le Clergyman". Today, the Studio has turned its attention to young audiences, offering a rich and varied program for all ages. Festivals, events and entertainment punctuate the life of this unique cinema, which retains its spirit of innovation and daring.

A particularly pleasant local cinema. Far from the big complexes, this cinema has a soul. A human cinema that regularly organizes evening meetings. Actors, directors and others often make the trip to talk with the public. Each evening ends with a pot de l'amitié in the small lounge in the lobby. A special feature of the establishment is the annual First Short Film Festival, held in October. This event gives beginners the chance to present their work to experts.
