Read moreSince 1994, the Gérardmer International Fantastic Film Festival has been thrilling audiences with films based on the unreal, the marvelous and horror. It's a film genre that's found its audience, who turn out in droves to enjoy the scares. The festival's atmosphere is perfectly in tune with the surrounding landscapes of snow-covered fir trees and frozen lakes. But if the chills are present in the darkened halls, the atmosphere is joyful and particularly festive. Each year, the jury is made up of well-known personalities, and tributes are organized for the masters of the genre. The screening of films or shorts in which the heroes are children. A great way to paint children from all over the world, the project travels throughout the region. A lively fortnight of cinema that puts young people in the spotlight.

Participants have 24 hours to make a short film of less than 5 minutes, a real challenge! You will then be able to see the selected films that will be screened in cinemas. At the end of the festival, the jury will award the prizes for best film, best actor, best plot, respect for constraint and student perspective to the 10 winners at the closing ceremony. The spectators will also have their say with a specially dedicated prize: the public prize.

Read moreThe Strasbourg European Fantasy Film Festival broadcasts horror, thriller, science fiction, animation and virtual reality films for a week. Their format can be long or short. The event takes place at Vox, Star-Saint-Exupéry, Star, Star, and UGC cinemas, but also in more surprising places such as the Shadok, the Municipal Baths, the Saint-Guillaume church or outdoors. Exhibitions, conferences and Master Classes are also organised in parallel. The best European feature film is awarded a Méliès d'or.
