The city of Vancouver has some thirty dog parks. These are spaces where you can play your dog without leash. These areas are usually found in a park. Dogs are allowed to run there at the beginning of the morning (until 9 a. m. or 10 a. m. and sometimes at the end of the day (from 5 p. m. to 10 p. m.). Some areas are accessible to dogs all day. The masters, however, have an obligation to collect the feces of their animals. Some parks allow dogs to access water like New Brighton Park, John Hendry Park or Hadden Park. Beware, in Charleston Park, dogs cannot be released in the summer. The complete list with schedules is located on the Vancouver. ca website.
