The Municipale municipal Swimming Pool is a outdoor swimming pool open only during the summer season. It is lined with tiled trees and offers a pleasant setting to relax in the summer or to take swimming lessons with the master swimmer. Since 2020, during the summer months, the town of Mâcon and its tourist office have taken up the challenge of transforming the banks of the Saône into a water sports center. On the vast esplanade Lamartine, the Mâcon sur l'Ô operation offers rentals of pedalos, paddles and other watercraft. For the less sporty, a touring boat is available to tame the Saône. Rosalies, pedal go-karts and bicycles can also be rented for strolling along the banks. You're all set for a busy day discovering the city in a whole new way!

Wakeboarding, water-skiing, kneeboarding and other board sports can all be enjoyed cable-drawn at Totem Wake Park. These activities are open to all riders aged 8 and over. On a 780 m-long cable, ten riders can ride at the same time. Beginners will be happy to stand on their own two feet (progress is generally quite rapid), while the more experienced can take on different modules for some crazy jumps. Refurbished in 2021, clean and functional, the small Verdun-sur-le-Doubs aquatic complex has almost all the features of a large one. Entirely outdoor, it features a 25-meter pool, a smaller, gently sloping learning pool and a paddling pool with fountains. For the children's enjoyment, there are three waterslides for speeding along. The pools are heated to 27°C, and there's a large grassy area for sunbathing. Large shaded seating areas are also available.

Situated on the Bourdon lake, between Saint-Fargeau and Moutiers, this famous leisure centre offers, in addition to accommodation (chalets, dormitories, tents), a wide range of activities: kayaking, canoeing, paddle, windsurfing, archery, mountain biking, orienteering, beach volleyball, etc. Cultural activities are also on the agenda with numerous workshops for children. But you can also simply enjoy the beaches along the lake and its restaurant area.

The Saône is perfect in Auxonne for windsurfing, optimist or even canoeing. L'Etoile Auxonnaise is a combination of several sports clubs, affiliated with the French sailing Federation, rents it to the public non member of windsurfing and sailing dinghies during the period from April to October. Very dynamic with the public young in particular, it organizes courses in summer.

Also, if you stay not far from Auxonne, you will find this hotel a perfect frame for training of specialities enumerated above. The Auxonne pool is located on the banks of the Saône, near the campsite. Open throughout the summer season, from late May to mid-September, it has two basins of 25 and 12.50 meters and a pool. It welcomes schools, the army and the public at different times and offers very attractive rates. To go diving, do not hesitate to contact the city hall.

With 2,500 m² of pool space, the Espace Nautique du Grand Chalon is a very attractive complex for a medium-sized town. An Olympic-size pool, a 25 m pool, a leisure pool (massaging jets, counter-current river...), a paddling pool, an aquagym area and a fitness room make up the interior. In fine weather, the complex's roofs open onto the outside, and a wave pool, two waterslides and grassy areas for sunbathing complete the offer.

At 130 ha, Lac de Panthier is the largest feeder lake for the Burgundy Canal in the Auxois region. Enjoying the rolling Auxois countryside, at the foot of the medieval fortress of Châteauneuf-en-Auxois, its banks are home to a 4-star campsite. On offer: walking and cycling tours of the lake, canoe hire, fishing, sandy beach and supervised swimming. There's also a sailing center with windsurf and catamaran rentals. Further afield, the Tour des Lacs de l'Auxois hiking circuit offers 160 km of marked trails from lake to lake.
