PASTICCERIA CIRO

Patisserie

With its four shop windows on the ground floor of a modern building in via Sassari, the Ciro pastry shop is one of Alghero's emblematic establishments. The inhabitants meet there to share coffee and sweet treats. Many of the pastries are presented in small bites, so that you don't have to hesitate and can succumb. Don't miss the bonboloni, the caramel tart or the myrtle bavarese. Very good ice creams too. This is the place to go for breakfast or a sweet break.

IGLOO GELATERIA ARTIGIANALE

It is impossible not to give in to the pleasure of ice cream during a stay in Italy. On the Bastioni Marco Polo, west of the city centre and facing the sea, the Igloo offers a wide choice of artisanal ice creams. About twenty flavours are offered daily. Another very popular speciality of the Sardinians: the refreshing granita. Here, no syrup, but fruits and crushed ice. It is always crowded in the small room, but it is worth waiting a little. A delightful treat!

Bistro and shop, this place run by the warm Paolina honours the best of Sardinian products. Francesco, a friend of hers, runs the shop and speaks perfect French. Take the time to chat with him, as he will teach you a lot about Sardinia. He can also offer you a tasting of pastries, breads, oils, wines and liqueurs, so that you can choose the product you like best. You can sit on the terrace in the shade and in the quiet. Simple and tasty cuisine based on local products.

STAR 1 GELATERIA

Glacier

One of the most beautiful terraces in Tortoli and Arbatax! Adjacent to the small marina of Arbatax, this terrace is set under the maritime pines and offers a lovely view of the majestic cliffs of the Supramonte di Baunei. We love coming here for a coffee in the morning or an ice cream in the evening. What's more, they make the best gelati in town. Whether you're with friends or as a couple, here's a place that's a little intimate, but offers a wonderful welcome. We also tried the breakfast before setting off on our excursion, and the hot chocolates are really delicious.

DITRIZIO PASTICCERIA

Patisserie

This pastry shop is a Cagliari institution. There are many, but this one surpasses the rest. Legend has it that Piero Ditrizio was the pastry chef who conquered Cagliari in just 5 months of opening during the pandemic. Piero turned away from "dry" Sardinian pastry and opened up to the world, offering classics from every country. Many ingredients are local, however, such as honey, fruit and eggs. The butter is French, as is the vanilla; the pistachio paste is from Sicily. A must-try!

IL GELATO ARESU

Glacier

A very small gelateria but one of the most appreciated in the city. The very original perfumes follow recipes that have been around for a long time, using only fresh products. We advise you to taste apple-cinnamon, pear with walnuts, banana with caramel and walnuts, chocolate with chilli or orange. For the more adventurous, there are even more unusual flavours, such as beer, pardula (Sardinian cupcake), tzatzíki, or wild fennel granita. Aresu also makes refreshing granites from March to October.

DULCIS IN FUNDO

Glacier

Under a small blue cloud, the artisanal ice-cream parlour Dulcis in Fundo spreads out its tubs filled with airy, colourful ice creams. These homemade ice creams are considered the best in Pula. The portions are generous and the prices modest. The wide variety of flavours will please all members of the family. The classic chocolate, the surprising strawberry-tomato, the refreshing lemon, the sardonic myrtle or the summery apricot are among the best-sellers. The most daring - and hungry - will be tempted by Nutella.

BELLAMIA GELATERIA

Glacier

The wide range of opening hours of this ice cream parlour confirms that ice cream is no joke in Italy. You have to be able to satisfy your cravings at any time! Located on the large Umberto I square, BellaMia catches the eye with its landscaped terrace, its artificial grass and its plastic plants. The setting is a bit kitschy, but that doesn't matter because the ice creams are delicious and prepared in a traditional way. The many flavours of the day are kept in stainless steel jars, protected from the light. All you have to do is choose.

GELATERIA CHICCHERIA

Glacier

Just a stone's throw from the Villasimius Archaeological Museum, this glacier offers a beautiful variety of flavours behind a discreet façade. Don't miss the big white cone on a blue background and enter this shop with ice creams made from natural products. The "km 0" is advocated there, which means that the ice creams are produced, sold and eaten locally. They are hidden in opaque refrigerated containers. So you have to be able to decipher the labels to start salivating. The flavours change every day with the seasons.

LE PLUS BON

Patisserie

We'll happily overlook the French mistake to check if the pastries sold here are the best in town. In any case, they are very appetizing and rather pop. The red fruits colour the chocolate cakes covered with mocha cream, pecan and pistachio chips cover the hot muffins... For Easter, the house perpetuates the tradition of the dove, a large brioche flavoured with chocolate, pistachio or almond. In addition to the pastries, you can stop in this futuristic setting to have a snack on the go.

OUH LA LA PATISSERIE

Patisserie

Welcome to North Sardinia's only artisanal French patisserie! Buttery Viennese pastries, exquisite cakes, macaroons and other delicious surprises that you can also enjoy on site in the pretty little tearoom. A real French breakfast to start the day. Yohann, you spoil us... The store was born of a love affair between a young Frenchman and a Sardinian woman. Our compatriot followed her to her island and seems very happy: a warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere and, above all, delicious treats! We just love it!

This café dedicated to sweet and savoury pleasures is not lacking in charm with its antique furniture and eclectic decoration with a cosy atmosphere.
