CONSERVATOIRE POUR ADULTES
Read moreFor more than 30 years, the Conservatory for adults has offered Tourangeaux the opportunity to learn music theory and practice an instrument, whether you are a beginner, amateur or experienced. The courses are given in the Jean de Ockeghem room, in the former Saint-Denis church, near Place Châteauneuf. You have the opportunity to practice piano, violin, cello, guitar, flute and singing. It is important to note that the practice is oriented towards chamber music, which has been increasingly successful for several years. For more information, do not hesitate to come and meet the professionals on Wednesdays and Fridays in September, from 4pm to 6pm.

Rock, blues, electro, pop, explore all these fields, as an amateur musician or future professional. Through group and/or private lessons, practice saxophone, viola, drums, etc. with professional teachers. With its various partnerships, the school offers its students opportunities to play, and its musicians are very much a part of local cultural life. Just a stone's throw from downtown, on the other side of the Loire River, professional musicians teach the practice of modern and amplified music. The leisure courses are aimed at experienced amateurs, while the teachers also offer training courses leading to a diploma for future professional artists. Professional artists are also accompanied to finalize their project. Group workshops, individual classes and master classes are part of the school's daily routine. You will be working on the music directories of Scotland, Ireland, Brittany and Galicia… in soloist or group.

Read moreThe Cloister of the Cordeliers, whose walls are eight centuries old, offers an ideal setting at the Conservatory of Music and dance. Led by Michel Bienaimé, the Conservatoire provides quality Musical Training and Quality training. Instrument (classical or jazz), song, dance (classical, contemporary or jazz): small and large will only have an embarrassment of choice. However, please note that music theory and collective practice are compulsory when you choose a musical curriculum. The collective disciplines are fully valued, from the earliest age and whatever the curriculum, since the Symphony Orchestra, the Grand Choir and the Big Band of Chartres are renowned for the Conservatoire. Please note that during the school year, concerts are regularly organised… it is worth a visit!
