There have been many twists and turns in recent years for Tours FC, the Tourangeau club ranked in Ligue 2 in 2018-2019, then downgraded to National 3 and then Regional 1 following successive administrative demotions. Finally, for the 2023-2024 season, the club is still presided over by Jean-Marc Ettori (and has been since 2013), and it's in National 3 that the Ciel et Noir players are once again playing, still supported by loyal fans! The Ligue 1 of the 1980s is a long way off, but let's keep an eye on what's next!

Rowing is an endurance activity that can be practised outdoors, in a setting that's ideal for getting away from it all. You can row on your own or with a crew, and the club also offers group AviFit classes, a rhythmic, musical activity supervised by a certified coach.

The Tempo Loco is the place that was created by the city of Tours to accompany music groups lacking rehearsal or recording space. Specialized in contemporary music, this centre for creation and information provides musicians with five rehearsal studios, four soundproofed and equipped with equipment (sound system + drums + guitar and bass amps), one of which is accessible to the disabled and a specially equipped studio dedicated to electronic music. It is also possible to record there, with professional equipment. A meeting room is at the disposal of the associative actors, and a documentary collection (press, guide...) is available for free consultation.

The Tennis Club de Tours is a tennis club located in Tours, in the Parc de l'Île Aucard, along the Loire River. With its high-quality clay courts, it attracts both competitors and leisure tennis enthusiasts. The club offers instructional courses as well as competitions. It also has a bar-restaurant where members can meet up and share convivial moments.

The TVB, a legend? It is in any case the great pride of the Tourangeaux in terms of sport. The club has won prestigious European titles, in addition to its 10 French Cups and 8 French championships! When you enter the Palais des Sports and its Grenon hall, you enter the cocoon of the French and European volleyball elite. Moreover, in 2022 the team is in contention for a new CEV European Cup! This karting company moved from Joué-lès-Tours to Saint-Avertin in early 2022. The new complex boasts a clubhouse overlooking the 450 m-long FFSA-approved circuit. Fishing guide, Jean-Luc Pouget has been fishing since the age of 12 and has been teaching for decades. His speciality is predator (perch, brochet, wells…). He brings his clients to the region of Tours, on the Loire and the Cher: " The fish is there, just take the time and go to search it… " If he teaches new fishing techniques and takes some teenagers to street fishing on Tours de Tours, Jean-Luc Pouget designs his profession in total immersion in nature. In the summer it organizes mini-camps of 4 days for young people (10/17 years) with bivouac on the islands. Still in no-kill to preserve fish stocks.

Since 2005, Chartres has its squash school by the French federation, and contrary to what one might think, recruitment is taking place early. Specific facilities allow children between the ages of 4 and 7 to practice mini squash, a game of awakening that will take them to "squash sensation" from the age of 8, then to "champion squash" from age 13. The principle? A sports school for all, and so that everyone can practice the sports of their choice at its level and without competition constraints. For the smallest (5-6 years), several slots and several places are offered for athletic awakening courses. 7-8 years and 9-10 years have the choice between 4 or 5 sports cycles all more attractive than each other, each quarter corresponding to the discovery of an activity. A fishing guide, Ali, trained at the Orléans fishing school, a graduate of the national training centre for the Ahun fishing trades and a large fly fisherman, guides you around Orléans. He particularly appreciates sharing his knowledge of a royal river rich in an exceptional fish population and invites you to share his privileged fishing places. The Loiret departmental federation, presided over by Régis Pétrot, looks after a particularly rich and varied piscicultural domain, offering distinct regions and landscape features that multiply fishing opportunities. Three river basins share the territory: the Loire, which crosses the département from east to west over 150 km, the Essonne and its marshes to the north, and the Loing and its network of small rivers to the east in the Gâtinais. The great state-owned forest of Orléans, in the center of the département, criss-crossed by the very old canal of the same name and its many reservoir ponds, also offers great possibilities. Finally, there are the navigable canals: the Canal Latéral à la Loire, the Canal de Briare and the Canal du Loing, which link the Loire and Seine rivers. This AAPPMA has existed since 1978. Perch Orléanais contributes to the promotion of fishing, communicates, communicates, transmits and extends this passion through its presence in various events. In Blois, the practice of caving is practised, but to satisfy all passions, canyoning and underground exploration are also the programme. Especially in Loir-et-Cher, with its famous cave in Orchaise and in the Centre region.

The Spéléo-Club de Touraine is an association based in Tours which offers caving activities.

GRS 28 practises caving, canyoning and via ferrata. Members also offer theme initiation, dedicated for example to the learning of wells descent or the exploration of underground rivers. Ideal for becoming a caving with impeccable technique!

The Cloister of the Cordeliers, whose walls are eight centuries old, offers an ideal setting at the Conservatory of Music and dance. Led by Michel Bienaimé, the Conservatoire provides quality Musical Training and Quality training. Instrument (classical or jazz), song, dance (classical, contemporary or jazz): small and large will only have an embarrassment of choice. However, please note that music theory and collective practice are compulsory when you choose a musical curriculum. The collective disciplines are fully valued, from the earliest age and whatever the curriculum, since the Symphony Orchestra, the Grand Choir and the Big Band of Chartres are renowned for the Conservatoire. Bourges is a city brimming with artistic and cultural activities. Among them is Jean-Michel Bernard's stained glass and fusing workshop. This master glassmaker creates, reproduces and repairs stained glass, as well as creating decorative objects in fused glass. Art lovers can also take part in courses and initiations in stained glass techniques. This is an ideal opportunity to discover the work of Jean-Michel Bernard and to learn about the art of stained glass and fusing.

The Canoë Kayak Club Mehunois association offers activities, introductions and river descents. It also accompanies discovery outings. A year-round paddling school is organized, and the club takes part in competitions. The association also rents out equipment to holidaymakers for adventure outings on the Cher or Yèvre rivers. 4 possible courses, accessible to all as long as you can swim at least 25 m and immerse yourself. There are a number of walks available in George Sand country, from the traditional to the most original. We recommend the Randoland tour, a fun way for families to discover the area. The tourist office in La Châtre has developed a series of information sheets for children. You can also try your hand at geocatching, where you can use clues to find or hide objects in unusual places (more information at www.geocatching.com).

Welcome to a shooting school for all, welcoming, groups or C.E. less than 30 minutes south of Orléans. Beginners, children, women, hunters or tireurs, you will find areas of fire adapted to your level. Framed by an instructor, you are developing in the Sologne Forest among the many courses and situations in the plains, marshes, ponds… Many facilities (11 hunting courses, a wild boar, targets at 50 metres) for all kinds of atypical situations to train you or simply discover the sensations in safety. For children and women, low-fall weapons are made available for a good time. Do not hesitate to call to book or have additional information.

Watersports is at the edge of the lake of Eguzon. This water sports structure allows you to practice water skiing, wakeboarding, ski tube, ski bus, all towed by a Mastercraft X7 for maximum thrills. You can also rowing or canoeing... You can also rent ecological motor boats without a licence (for 4 or 5 people). As you can see, this lakeside structure is the ideal place to spend a memorable afternoon with family or friends!

The adventure of UTBM, Union Tours Basket Métropole, came to fruition in 2020-2021 with a move up to Pro B. In 2021, everyone went their separate ways and Tours Métropole Basket was born! And since then, the TMB has always been at the top of the bill. In 2022-2023, the team was relegated to the NM1 (Nationale Masculine 1), but the Knights are dynamic players and their fans are relentless. Playing out of the Halle Monconseil, the TMB still has plenty of surprises in store for us. In addition, the players are also committed to meeting young people from the department: top!

The MDJT is the hub of board games in all their forms and for all ages. It is active in leisure centers as well as with the general public. For its members, it is synonymous with access to a collection of hundreds of very varied games to try out during Thursday evenings, or to borrow to play at home at very low prices, ideal for trying before buying.
