Wine and alcohol cooperatives Catalonia

This Mas Llunes is located opposite the Garriguella cooperative and its wines are presented in a 1,260 square metre bodega with a decidedly modern look, built in 2000. Every year it processes around 200,000 kg of grapes from the 48 hectares of vineyards owned. It is a bit like the "Rolls-Royce" of Empordà wines, which has earned this Mas Llunes many awards, all of which are well-founded.

Founded in 1963, it is one of the region's most traditional and traditional co-operatives. This has earned him the honours of many publications. This co-operative encompasses 3 different activities: wine cellar where a dry and soft wine develops; the agro shop with sale of km 0 products and a tasting area. A restaurant also allows to accompany the tasting by quaintly with plates of cheese or sausages. Guided tours are offered and can even include a gastronomic menu, a visit to Sant Quirze de Colera Monastery or the Turtle breeding centre.

Located in the village of Pau, this is a group of small producers in the region who founded their co-operative in 1947, located in Pau and Roses and merged in 2005. The co-operative now covers 230 hectares of vineyards cultivating vines of white Grenache, Macabeu and Moscatell in Alexandria for white wines and Grenache wines for red wines. Introduction of new varieties such as Syrah, Sauvignon Sauvignon or Merlot. And also has 500 hectares of olive trees. The Empordàlia cooperative has also produced olive oil for several generations. It is possible to visit the magnificent premises of Empordàlia, from the old mill to the modern wine cellar by way of wine and olive groves, and to taste some good wines and olive oil from the Empordà.
